Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 June 2026
This policy describes how SHARH collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our business brokerage platform in the United Arab Emirates.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how SHARH ("SHARH", "we", "us", or "our") collects and processes personal data when you use our website and services at sharh.ae, including business valuations, the marketplace, lead enquiries, and the partner portal.
SHARH is a business brokerage operating in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy-related request, including questions about the entity responsible for your data, you can contact us at diana@sogdians.co.
We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and its implementing regulations.
2. Data we collect
Information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, and any details you submit through the valuation chat, seller intake form, buyer enquiries, lead-gate forms, or partner registration (including company name, sector, financial figures you choose to share, and supporting documents).
Information collected automatically: device and browser data, IP address, pages visited, and similar usage data collected through cookies and analytics tools.
Information from valuations: the business and financial inputs you enter to generate an indicative valuation, and the valuation outputs we produce for you.
3. How we use your data
To provide the services you request — generating valuations, presenting marketplace listings, processing buyer and seller enquiries, and operating the partner portal.
To contact you about your enquiry or listing, including via email, phone, and WhatsApp where you have provided those details.
To improve our platform, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
We rely on your consent, the performance of a contract with you, and our legitimate business interests as lawful bases for processing, as applicable under the PDPL.
4. Third-party processors
We share personal data with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to deliver our services. These currently include: cloud database hosting, an AI provider used for valuations and content, an AI image-generation provider, Google services (including spreadsheet sync), messaging via WhatsApp, and our hosting and deployment platforms.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UAE. Where data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with the PDPL and applicable cross-border transfer requirements.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Confidentiality of listings
Seller identities and sensitive business details on the marketplace are protected. Certain information is revealed to a buyer only after the buyer completes the required steps (such as accepting a non-disclosure agreement and passing lead qualification). You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for honouring any confidentiality undertakings you accept on the platform.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Enquiry and lead data, valuation records, and partner account data are kept for the duration of our relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Subject to the PDPL, you have the right to access your personal data, request correction or deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and request a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at diana@sogdians.co. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
9. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the site or by contacting you directly where appropriate.
